Obsessions are not always a bad thing...right?
I am new at this blogging world, but already I feel the need to share pictures of Sophie to all three of you that read this thing. (which, by the way, Trey is not so sure about this whole blogger thing, but that is another story.) I love looking at pictures of everyones children, families, friends, etc..., so I am convinced that you will love looking at pictures of my child, Sophie. Right? Thought so.
So, for your viewing pleasures (the three of you that read this), here are a few of
Sophie's glamour shots:

Oh how I LOVE him!
Look how adorable his "Lil' Henry" shirt is!

We were trying to wake him up...it didn't work!!! So funny!
On Saturday night we went to the MSU basketball game...another disapointing ending. Oh well, we still had fun. Then on Sunday we all went to Clinton to see Henry!!! He is the cutest thing. Yes, I may be a little biased. I just love him! He is starting to become very alert and cooing. So adorable. I took WAY too many pictures, but I will try to control myself and only post a few. I did not want to leave!
Sophie goes to the nursing home!

This weekend was so much fun! It started on Friday in Meridian. My grandmother, Mamaw, was recently put in a nursing home in Meridian and I was so happy to finally get to go see her! Sophie and I met my mom and Laura there Friday afternoon. I was nervous about having Sophie there, but had nowhere else to take her, so she had to come along. I put her in my bag and walked on in. When I saw Mamaw I said "Don't tell anyone, but I have a puppy in here". What was the first thing she did???? Announce to her friends and nurses "Don't tell anyone, but she has a puppy in here!" It was so funny. Luckily, the sweet nurses thought Sophie would bring a lot of joy to the patients...and she did!!!! I took some pictures of her with some of the residents there. They loved her. She was so sweet to them, too! We will definitely have to go back soon.

In the beginning...
So... I was convinced by my sister, Laura, to start a blog. What in the world will I talk about??? I love looking at blogs so maybe it will be fun to have my own. It might be fun to look back and see what all I have written. Also, this will be an easy way for my friends and family to keep up with us.
Trey and I have been married now for almost nine months. I can not believe it has been that long. A lot has happened since June 3. We both started new jobs at the university. Trey and I are both loving our jobs, which is such a blessing. We also bought our first home in November. It is a great "starter" home. It is an older home that we can put some work into, which was exactly what we wanted. I have some before and after pictures that I will post later. It has been lots of fun so far. We also added to our family...we got a puppy! Her name is Sophie and we love her so much! She is so much fun. I have plenty of pictures that I will post of her, I am sure. In addition to exciting things happening in our lives between just the two of us, a lot has happened in our families as well.
My Grandfather, Dada, passed away in November after a long battle with Alzheimers. It has been really tough, but we all have such a peace about it and we know that he is looking down on us and smiling now! Less than a month after his death, my sister, Kristen, gave birth to her first child...Henry Thomas. Henry is the first grandchild on both sides, so to say that he is spoiled is a little of an understatement. 2006 was definately an exciting, overwhelming year full of changes and I am looking forward to seeing w
hat God has in store for 2007!
