Awkward belly pics

I try to remember to take weekly pictures, but fail miserably. Then when I do remember, I am quickly reminded how awkward they are.

Anna is sitting super low. She punches me in the bladder all day long.  Her super low position makes for a pretty funky belly.
Feeling good, but the heartburn has geared up.  I have to closely watch what I eat.
24 week awkward pics, with a few of Jones thrown in:
Four of the then bandaids he put on himself.  Claiming "all better!".

Getting too big too fast

These pictures were taken this week on my phone. He all of the sudden looks so old. He is losing that chubby baby face and is slimming up in the belly. He is still so tall and super active. Jones discovered the wooded area behind our house this week, do each afternoon we go exploring in the woods. He loves it! Yesterday he told me he saw an elephant in the woods. I will be on the look out.

I bought a sweet high chair for Anna on Monday and Jones instantly demanded to "sit in Anna's chair". He looked so big!

Love this little man. Looking forward to a fun weekend- Pumpkinpalooza in Starkville Friday night, pumpkin patch with family Saturday morning, then friends coming into town for the MSU vs TN game Saturday night. I love fall and I love that the bulldogs are winning this season!

Our weekend

Trey left early Saturday morning for a jr high fall retreat in Oxford so Jones and I packed up the car and headed to Starkville for the weekend.
A rare and precious moment: both boys still and quiet. It lasted on a couple of minutes, but it was lovely!

SNEAK PEAK! Noelle Adams during her 1 year pictures
Noelle Adams had her one year photo shoot on Saturday, so we happily tagged along. We even were able to get some pictures of the three grand kids. Hopefully at least one will turn out for Christmas presents! My child wins the award for least cooperative during photo shoots.

He and Henry had fun playing with Noelle Adams' balloons, though. An open field and balloons - they had fun.

Wild boys playing during Noelle Adams' photo shoot.
Kristen took all three kids to church on Sunday and I rested. It was the most relaxing Sunday I have had in a while! Much needed and much appreciated.

Jones was able to love on Lita for the first time since her surgery. She can't pick him up yet, but he gave her lots of hugs and kisses anyway.

Fun weekend with family, but we were happy to see Trey Sunday afternoon!

On the mend

Jones is such a tough little man!

Monday morning (and into the afternoon) was spent at the orthopedics. The dr. said it was a clean break, should heal nicely and sent us home with a sling. That sling- Jones hated it. Turns into a wild animal wailing around, screaming and running into walls. We decided it was doing more harm than good, so after a talk with the dr., we have given up on the sling.

Nice $500 down the drain.
Moving on...

He is sleeping somewhat better. Still wakes up once in the middle of the night when it's time for pain medicine, but is able to go back to sleep pretty easily.

I can't imagine having a chronically I'll child. Those parents amaze me. I went to bed around 7:45 last night. The exhaustion of having a sick child plus a broken bone, a full time job with an hour daily commute and pregnancy caught up with me. Thankful for Trey who got up with Jones last night.

So thankful for a healthy body, husband and child.  So often I take those things for granted!
