hello, all.

Good morning, fellow readers. Hope all 5 of you are doing fabulous.

My apologies for the lack of interesting postings lately. Work is somewhat crazy. Today is the first of many summer Previews, which basically is orientation for incoming freshman and their parents. I, being the marketing person that I am, will be presenting a power point presentation to the parents this afternoon, convincing them that living on campus is pratically the best.

Wish me luck.

Last time I did this I was hounded by an overly-eager father who accused me of not responding to emails. What? His accusations were made while I was in front of a huge crowd, in the middle of my presentation, WHILE BEING VIDEOED for the top dogs to review. I was caught off guard as he told me that not responding to emails is the number one bad marketing plan. As it turns out he was sending them to the front office (which I made VERY clear to the little ladies down there to ANSWER EMAILS), but still I got no apology, only embarassment in front of a crowd.

Rude people.

Maybe today eager-beaver fathers (and mothers) will keep their mouths shut.

Anyway, so my work has been on overload for the past, oh, few days.

Trey returned from Boca Raton Sunday morning absolutely worn out. Sophie was so excited to see him her whole butt was wagging with delight. She would not stop kissing him. Luckily, Sophie was worn out as well from playing hard with Max for a few days, so the two of them had no problem crawling in bed for a Sunday nap.

Laura and I had a great time hanging out while the hubby was out on business. A few highlights of the visit include:

1) Mexican
2) Sushi (hmmm...do you notice a food theme going on here?)
3) The Holiday. Great movie, highly recommended.
4) Seeing our sweet nephew.

I am trying to convince her that she should make the move to the 'burg, but so far I have been unconvincing.

We went to Jackson on Sat. to see Kristen (the eldest of the Tomlinson girls) and her husband, Rob, and little Henry. He (Henry, not Rob) is starting to teeth a little, so the drool was in abundance and he was running a little fever, but still did not cry. He is a fighter, I tell ya.

Do you want to kiss him? He is oh so kissable.

"mmmm....what is this? FOOD? Let me at it, I am starving"

On a different note, I am really excited about the fact that I am not this lady, who gave birth to six...count them...SIX babies last night :

You can watch the video on The Today Show website by clicking HERE.
She will have extra jewels on her crown one day.

Good luck today- parents get so crazy when their babies go to college...your story sounds like the same parents that bring their 18 year-old kids to look at my dad's apartments in JANUARY when they don't start school until AUGUST!

PS- that picture of you and Henry is ADORABLE

So I guess I'm the #5 you were talking about :) Just kidding...I know you have many more fans than that. I can empathize with you and doing PP Presentation for Orientation...I did that at Baylor ...it's not as easy as it looks! Hang in there and have fun and realize in all the chaos that you have a pretty good job--working at a college really is a lot of fun huh? Love your header by the way! Did Jenny do it for you? ejw
