My husband, the party planner

It seems that the last few posts have been about my sweet husband, bless his heart. After he says or does something stupid/funny/dumb/sweet he always ends it by saying 'please don't blog that'.

Well Trey, honey, I am blogging about this!

Background story:

A friend of mine is having a baby in August. His name will be Jackson, for those nosey blog-stalkers. She is precious and I know this baby will be a doll. Anyway, she works in the same building as my beloved Trey. They are throwing a baby shower for her and all of her co-workers, including Mr. Skaggs, this afternoon. Trey is convinced that he will more than likely be the only male present. I am making him go. They signed up to bring food...do you know what my ding-bat husband signed up for?? ICE. men.....

So for some strange reason Trey was also put in charge of baby games to play at the shower. He just called (quite proud of himself, I must add) with the news that he decided which games will be played at this afternoon's baby festivites.

1) Pictionary

2) determine the size of Jennifer's belly using toilet paper (he googled that one. I don't think that game is very green...)

But pictionary sounded cute, I mean, as far as cheesy shower games go. They got big paper and markers and are going to draw baby items as the other team guesses what it is.

This is where the story really starts:

He googled "BABY STUFF" and wrote down all that came up to give to the lady in charge of the shower.
A few on his list:

-rattles
-baby bottles
-crib
-pacifier
-jaundice
-c section
-toys

HA! He wrote down JAUNDICE and C-SECTION to draw at a work baby shower! I can not stop laughing. All the women in the office laughed and said that they aren't going to use those two items in the game. He didn't know what those things were, they just came up in his google search....

Next time, people, leave the party planning to the professionals.

I cannot wait to hear about the shower! Trey is hilarious and I know he was trying so hard! Gotta give him credit!

One could probably make a stab (no pun intended) at a c-section, but I believe a yellow crayola would be necessary for the jaundice.

Give him credit -- Trey's got guts.
