things

1) Trey has been sick for a week now. I am so ready for this house to feel healthy again. I started feeling rough on Wed. so laid low and stocked up on vitamin C. I am better now, but Trey is still sounding and looking kinda rough. He has slept in another room for a couple of nights now; he is paranoid is going to get me sick. In the meantime, I am trying to disinfect everything in sight.

2) I painted two more swatches of paint on the walls this week. I think we are getting closer. Now I just have to get the crib and buffet (changing table) in the room. Hopefully the crib will come in soon. I have serveral swatches of fabrics that I am going through for the window treatments. And I am on the lookout for a chair/rocker/glider. I sat in a Best Chair Storytime series one and it was just fabulous. Not cheap, but fabulous. Is it worth the price? Anyone? Yes? No? I need it to last. And be able to be cleaned. I don't want any spit up stains to show. You feel me?

3) Whoever coined the term "Flutter" as in "You will feel your baby flutter in your stomach" was clearly male and never had a baby live in him. This is not fluttering I feel. Jones drop kicks me. Seriously, if I have on a fitted shirt, you can see my shirt move from across the room. I love it.

4) We are almost to 100 days. 3rd trimester. When did this happen? I feel like I just found out I was pregnant. It has flown. I am scared to think how fast time will fly once he is actually here.

5) I went with a friend to register at Target yesterday. A bit overwhelming, but luckily this is child #2 for her, so she pointed me in the right direction. I think I am just about through with the registery, thanks to my sis who registered for me at BabiesRUs. Talk about too many decisions. Who knew there were 50 different kinds of bottles that come with about 70 different types of nipples?

Best Chairrs are worth it! Call the playpen in Jackson and get a price from them. They had the best prices around when I got mine back in the spring - and ordering it in the fabric you want is the same price as there in stock selection. Mine took maybe 4 weeks to come in.

I was blown away by the prices of rockers/gliders so I ended up buying an Ashley leather rocker recliner. I got a great deal on it (280) and when MC is finished with it we can still use it in the living room. Plus the fact that its leather means easy cleanup and no stains!

And, yes, you're right - time goes by even faster once they are here!

Hey! We got a Best chair and love it! We got it here in Hattiesburg at Simmons. He doesn't have many in stock but said that this is the ONLY chair he will let people buy without sitting in it b/c it is that good of a chair. I picked the style I liked from the Best Chair website and looked at the fabric in the store. It also took 4 weeks for the chair to come in. We decided to buy it b/c it is a chair that can move to different rooms in our house if we ever needed or wanted to rearrange. Also, with something you are going to use a lot it is good to spend the money on quality so it lasts and looks good longer!

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Best Chair! Yes price may seem high but you get exactly what you pay for! I got mine through Nursery Rhymes because they had a better price on the one I wanted at that time. This is one part of the nursery I am glad I splurged on because as many nights as I rocked that sweet baby it was all worth it! :)

I'm pretty sure ours is a Best Chair, and I love it. No spit up stains, either.

And I vividly remember standing with Anthony on the nipple/bottle aisle at Babies 'R' Us. I don't think either of us had ever felt so stupid in our lives. You're not alone.

i have a best chair and LOVE IT. it has lasted through 4.5 years and two kids! we got it at nursery rhymes on lakeland in jackson - but i think you can get them cheaper at that place outside of houston ms? what is it called - i know you know the place...
i got a rocker/glider (don't know the name of the style chair) and the gliding ottoman - so worth the extra money for the ottoman! b/c you can stretch out! i know people that have gotten them in a good neutral brown to be able to move to another room later - i got a black/white/teastain toile and love it - chose that with camp b/c i didn't know if #2 would be a girl and i wanted something that would go with both! i already had alot of brown in the room from the furniture...
my thinking is that when i move nash into a 'big boy room' - i will get the chair recovered! =)
and yes, i just wrote a book - i love my chair. period.
have fun!

Time really does fly when you're pregnant. I really missed it once my daughter was born. Something that I wish I had done was to write letters to my daughter explaining everything I was feeling, thinking, and hoping. It would have been nice to give that to her some time in the future. YOu look great!

Hey Heather,

We got a Dutailer (sp?) glider. I love it. It doesn't look like it, but you can take the covers off the cushions and was them. Also, get a fabric that has a pattern, spills, aka throw up and breastmilk, will be so much less noticeable! Emily is 8 weeks old now so we have learned a little about what works and doesn't work in terms of bottles and nipples and furniture and accessories so if you want my opinion on all of it, feel free to email me or message me on facebook.
