Decision made

Jones will be rocked in a Best Chair. I sat in another one the other day, after sitting in about 20 other brands and they just did not compare! We got the Braxton in the Storytime series. They gave me a book of about 1,000 fabric samples. The decision was overwhelming. I hope I chose the right one. Thankfully, my MIL was there with me with good motherly advice. Like which fabric shows less poo and spit up. Awesome.

The beloved chair. (not the fabric)

Thanks for all the advice. What would I do without the blog world? Especially now that I am home and have little contact with other humans.

That sounded so pathetic.

My mother dearest found this brilliant idea for the curtains in the room. She was always going to make the window treatments for the room, but we came across a few kinks with what I wanted. My mother is a genius and figured them all out! Check out what we are going to do! Simple, and since we do not own the home we live in right now, I love that it is soooo economical. When it is closed it will be blacked out. Perfect for a sleepy babe after a rock in the Best Chair.
And here is the original one, without the black out fabric on the other side, which of course we will need.
I owe my mother-in-law and mommy SO much! They have been lifesavers. Pictures soon of the nursery progress - painting tomorrow!

That is the same model chair we got! Is it not the most comfy thing in the world?!? Also, I am really jealous that your mom is going to help you save $$ on the curtains. All of our windows (5 to be exact) are odd sizes. So, we are looking at a pretty penny for drapes. Oh well... can't wait to see pics when it's all done!

Thanks for sharing Heather! I may try to attempt that in our room where we'll roll his pak-n-play for nap times and it needs to be a little darker but not too dark or they'll think it's night time :(
We have blinds up now--so it's a great solution.

Thanks--see you Saturday!

I love the Little Green Notebook blog, I check it all of the time and have used some of her great ideas too! Have fun with the nursery, it is funny how fast it goes from just a room to "his room". Moms and MIL are great too, mine helped with the curtains (which we added black out fabric to) and to make a cover for the car seat (so I can wash it easily).

Be sure to check at Woodland Furniture before purchasing your chair - pretty sure they carry "Best" and might have the "best price" :D

Yes! I got the rig and crib in Woodland and that was where I first sat in a best chair. I didn't know then what a gem I was sitting in! Luckily we found a dealer here that matched Woodland's price! gotta love Woodland!
