cousins

This past weekend I got to go to see my little buddy, Henry! We had so much fun playing. He is ALL boy. I love it! We played outside for hours. For each different activity, he needed a different kind of boot on. Playing football, swinging, riding bikes, helping plant flowers with his daddy - all these things required all different types of shoes. But boots each time! He loves boots!

He and I took a break on Saturday for a little lunch. As soon as I sat down by him he asked me where my camera was. Poor child is used to his photo-loving aunts by now.

So here are a few shots I took from my phone of him eating. He asked for them and said "cheeeeeese" the whole time - how could I refuse?

Looks like he is up to something in this picture!

He is just hysterical. He told me what he wanted for lunch. That is shredded cheese on his plate, by the way. He said he wanted cheese, so when I handed him slice cheese, he said that he wanted his "daddy's big boy cheese". I had to pull out all the cheese before I finally figured out which one he was talking about!

We told him a few weeks ago that there was a baby in my belly. He thought that was so crazy. So we were talking about it at lunch and I was trying to explain that he will be the big cousin.

Here is how the conversation went:

"I the big cousin because I am big? And I run?" - Henry

"Yeah! And you will have to help with the little baby" - Heather

"And the baby will crawl?" - Henry

"One day! Will you help out with the baby?" - Heather

" I will save her." - Henry

I love it! He is really into "saving" people. He loves firemen and always talks about the firemen saving everyone. So I asked him what he will save her from and he said that "if the baby falls down I will save her"

(not sure why "it" is a "her". Brainwashed by his mama, maybe?)

That is precious! He is already protective. Such a sweet big cousin.

We had the best time, but we missed you, yaya!!

Speaking of yaya, I am having company come see me next week! YIPPEE! My mom, dad and sassy Nana are coming down on Wednesday and then yaya is staying with me over the weekend. I can't wait. Hurry up next week and get here!
