I hate to be all negative Nancy on you, but this is my least favorite month of the year. It's hot. Really hot. There is not even one fun holiday. And a new one for me, the peak of hurricane season. Welcome to the coast, Heather. The only good thing I can see about August is that it is one step closer to football season and October, two of my most favorite times of the year.

To cheer you up Heather here are some personal positives and favorites for August:
1) my birthday
2) my wedding anniversary
3) the start of the academic school year and the smell of school supplies :)
4)the start of football season (well at least high school)
but I agree...it's hot and the peak of Hurricane Season...lets hope we don't have to evacuate like I did my first few months as a Coast resident 2 years ago for Ike & Gustav with a 9mos old and 6 puppies and a workaholic husband...so cheer up we'll make it together :) Glad you are here!

i'm with you....aug. is probably my least fave month too! i love what i do, but i'm not a big fan of "getting back into the routine" AND all of this heat! BUT...MSU football season is just around the corner!!! :)
