I am here, computer in hand.

I have been lacking a computer for a couple of weeks. Paying for Internet and not having a laptop is no fun at all. Plus, I really felt out of the loop. You miss a lot when you can't blog and facebook stalk.

I know it looks like I have been here for a while, but confession: Laura has written the last two posts for me. I was talking to a friend the other night and she said that pregnancy has changed my writing style on my blog. What are you saying? My sister has better grammar, knows how to spell and is a bit more sincere in her writing? anyway, thanks yaya for sharing the news of our baby boy.

My days are different now as I have started a new role as a housewife. It is not near as glamorous or dramatic as those on Wisteria Lane, but dinner is cooked every night nonetheless. I will start substitute teaching in January. That should be very interesting. I am sure blog stories will follow. Especially since apparently I look like I am in high school. I was at the post office the other day when I was told to skip in line in front of this older man because he was "sure I was needing to get back to class". When I looked at him confused he accused me of playing hooky from high school. Awesome. I look like a knocked up tenth grader.

Life is still grand. I feel fantastic (sans the heartburn that just started up a couple of days ago. Nothing a glass of milk can't cure, so no complaints) and just growing bigger everyday. I am breaking down and buying maternity clothes tomorrow. My mother-in-law and I are going shopping. I have exhausted the three outfits that fit comfortably.

I am having a time finding boy bedding I love, though. Designing custom bedding is overwhelming to me and I am not loving the bedding that I am finding. I called Pottery Barn Kids and they told me a new collection of nursery bedding is coming out in January. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, website suggestions/ stores for nursery bedding would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a couple of pics from Henry and Colton's (his BFF) TRAIN PARTY last weekend. It was precious and we had so much fun! And, yes, I rode the train.

I can't believe they are three. Stop growing so fast, Henry Thomas. the mama and the aunts
Look at that precious, excited face.

The mamas with the two birthday boys

The train. It took everyone around the neighborhood several times. so cute

Henry turned 3 and can now say Trey and not Frey. Yes, we were kinda sad. But then again, this means truck is no longer **ck. So it's a win/win situation.

cute cake (and mighty tasty too)

Birthday boys!

And GOOD NEWS!! Kristen passed her final Step test I blogged about weeks ago. We all knew she would, but it is still such a huge weight off of her shoulders - off all of our shoulders.
Now on to Starkville to practice OBGYN. Go Dr. Fyke, Go!

i was very overwhelmed with finding bedding too. i was not a fan of having a "theme" which seemed to be what i found at all the regular stores. i ended up designing my own for hank's room on polkatotdesigns.com very good quality and they have a good collection of fabrics but not so many that it seemed impossible to narrow it down. they also have lots of already made sets if you like those...

Ok try this. There is a cute baby fabric/bedding boutique in Mobile and they have a website:
http://www.polkatotdesigns.com/
They can make everything for the room. THOUGHT: You can drive to Mobile and we can go to the store together! Please! It would be so fun!

i cannot believe that people actually pay THAT much money to custom design baby bedding... (my best friend does it and i love her, still!) BUT they are going to throw up on it and poop on it and when they are 17 months old they are going to pull it and tear it and climb on it!

smith's came from pottery barn and i LOVE it! its just plain white with chocolate brown piping. you can check out picks of it on my blog...i posted about his nursery right before he was born!

good luck!

i can offer no advice on baby bedding, but i CAN offer some advice on substitute teaching: be mean.

i can't wait to hear stories about that! maybe you'll actually be able to catch a small glimpse of what i do everyday! :)

i wasn't into a theme either... i just went to babies R us and mix and matched things... kept it pretty plain. eventually all i was using was a fitted sheet and skirt anyway. brantley smushed his face into the bumper pad when he slept. scared me, so i took it out! good luck finding something!!

I LOVED subbing! Go for it... not sure I would attempt that pregnant, but you can do it I'm sure.

I love Land of Nod (they say things like "lickity split shipping" so sweet) and their bumper pads are "poofy" you'll see they're beautiful and very classic.
