And I am not talking about Trey.
Sophie is a complete diva. I have known this for a while now, but her diva-ish ways are becoming more and more apparent.
For example, she won't go outside if it is raining. Or too cold. Or too hot. She refuses to be uncomfortable. Another diva tendency is that she cries if Trey is giving me attention and not her. Really. It is quite pathetic.
Well, last night she was in full diva mode. Trey wasn't feeling too well, so he went to bed earlier than me. He took Sophie with him to the bedroom so I could get work done (she doesn't like it when I clean.) So when I finally am ready to go to bed, I opened the bedroom door to find Sophie sound asleep, curled up next to Trey, under the covers, with her head on a pillow.
When I came back with my camera, she glared up at me as if to say "you are really disturbing my beauty sleep here, mama. If you don't mind, shut the door behind you." She was so mad that I woke her up to take a picture.

Just look at her eyes. she was SO comfy before I took the picture. (trey didn't budge as I was snapping pictures!)
THEN, when I got in bed and tried to pick her up to put her where she sleeps, she became limp and wouldn't move at all, just growling under her breath.
If this is a sign of how we raise children, Trey and I are going to be in trouble in years to come.

milo whines and barks when ken and i hug or kiss. ken always jokes with him and says, "i got your girl, milo." i guess only milo can give me kisses? ken and i are in trouble too if the way we raise our dogs are any indication of how we will raise kids.
love this post...and can totally relate to it all! i have a 3 year old male yorkie that is VERY protective of me...my husband thinks it's hilarious and provokes him a lot. aren't our lives so much more fun with those "little" personalities in our home though?!
Oh my gosh! Her eyes are too funny in the last picture. She is totally glaring at you!
I agree with kpowell - our lives are so much more fun with our pets!
Little Jamie growls at Cole when he comes over to hug or kiss me. Love it!
In the last pic, she kinda looks evil.
Wilson would sleep with his head on the pillow too, but I won't allow it! :)
The going limp thing must be a common poodle trick--maggie does ANYTIME she doesn't want to move and someone tries to pick her up. I bet Sophie is going to be just like Maggie when she is an old lady.
Maddie and Sophie must be related. Maddie hates rain, hated when it snowed, will not sleep anywhere that doesn't have a blanket for her to get under (and it must be on top of me or Billy), will not leave you alone until you pay attention to her, and the list just goes on and on about her little Diva personality. Hopefully our kids will not be anything like her...although I do love spoiling her. :o)
That is hilarious, and Sophie is scary in those last two photos. Awesome.
Feather, are you a neat freak like Melita?
I like the comforter on your bed!
Is your pup jealous of your doll, Baby?
