A new chapter begins...

(the hostesses with the mommy-to-be....Me, Ashley, Jordan and Morgan)

Part of being a woman, I suppose, is throwing showers and parties for the people you love. I, for one, LOVE this part of being a girl. I can not wait to throw the best parties on the block for my un-born children, as well as our little Sophie. (She will, indeed, be given a party)

But for now, showers and parties for friends are it. For about two years, I suppose, the theme of showers has been "wedding". I have helped throw all varieties, including Bachelorette (always a good time), Tailgating (Go Dawgs), Lingerie (Oh-la-la), Christmas ornament( Deck the Halls), among others. By the last few, I considered myself a pretty good party-thrower, if you will.

But now a new chapter has begun. BABIES. Are we old enough for this? I guess we are. Besides my sister's (who, I shall add, has adorable little Henry), this new theme for party throwing is new to me.

And so it begins. Yesterday I help throw the first, of many to come, baby shower.

Is it ironic to anyone else that the three girls (Jordan, Morgan, and myself) that threw this baby shower for Ashley also threw her a lingerie shower two years ago? hmmmm....

Anyway, Ashley's shower was a hit. She is, I must say, a precious mommy-to-be. Ivy Kate is due May 6 (day after my b-day, I will add) and Ashley looks great. A little more than a month and it will be official: My first close friend will be a mommie. strange.

She tells me that Ivy Kate will need friends, as she elbows me suggestively. I just tell her that I hope she makes them in Day Care.

Enjoy the pictures!

Wow she looks great! And... I don't think you will ever feel old enough for a baby. I think it you just decide you are brave enough! :)
